It sometimes feels rare that a band founded on pushing boundaries is conscious of not alienating the listener. This is not the case for Flaural. Their music, in effect, feels like the spoils of a deep sonic exploration, brought back down to earth for all to observe in traditional rock outfit form.

Flaural is the unified sum of four equal parts. The hypnotic pulse of Nick Berlin’s kraut rock drum grooves crystalize as the backdrop atop which sprawls the band’s ethereal art-pop-songwriting. Connor Birch’s expansive synths and keys, the unique virtuosity and aggression of Noah Pfaff’s guitar playing, and the resonant croon of Colin Johnson’s vocals and driving bass lines all coalesce into the rare type of experimental music that warmly invites the uninitiated listener into the unknown.

Formed in 2015 the band has released two EPs. 2015’s 'Thin King' established the parameters for Flaural’s exploratory vision and 2016’s 'Over Imaginary Cigarettes' pushed further their already immense scope.

The band’s rigorous tour schedule has taken numerous tours totaling hundreds of dates along the west coast and through the Midwest. The bands rigorous touring has included supporting acts the likes of, Spoon, Luna, Foxygen, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, Janes Addiction, Dan Deacon, Wild Nothing, The New Pornographers, Built to Spill, Wand, and more including a performance at Red Rocks Ampitheater. Festival appearances at Denver’s Grandoozy and Underground Music Showcase, Chicago’s Audiotree Music Festival and Tomorrow Never Knows, Boise’s Treefort, and smaller festivals like Desert Stars, Sea Witch Fest, Hickey Fest, and other festivals that grew the band’s national reputation.

Flaural’s debut LP Postponement has been three-years in the making following a string of EP’s released in 2016 pegged for release April 19th, 2019. A lot took place over those three years - Flaural traveled and performed countless shows all across the US, experienced personal and group loss and growth, endured the struggles of being an unsigned touring act, all while remaining committed to writing and arranging music honoring their influences and reflecting lyrically on experiences from the past three years.
