Excited to team up with Lille Aeske in Boulder Creek this year for mellow evening of beautiful music after DIO Fest ends on Sunday. Show at 8pm, just enough time to grab dinner in town in Boulder Creek and then sit for some tunes at such a beautiful spot. Lille Aeske is run by a local couple that puts on a great array of arts and community events. Right in the heart of Boulder Creek, a great way to spend a Sunday evening after a weekend of fun.

ABOUT HIBBITY DIBBITY
Hibbity Dibbity is a four piece band from San Francisco. Their music has been described as boogie-rock / country-funk. Timeless, but kind of dirty. They blend together styles from various genres to create feel-good music that will move you. They're live show is clever, ecstatic, and riotous.

Their new single "Touchy Feely," is a happy tune with a swoon-worthy chorus. Super tight; then loose in all the right places.

ABOUT PAPA BEAR
Constantly striving to explore the boundaries and edges of human emotion, Papa Bear captures a deep perspective into the human experience. Lyrical content covers the gamut of mystery, beauty, and the comedy and tragedy of life. The musical lineage stems from the folk heritage, but ranges broadly.. from Americana and bluegrass, to blues, jazz, and good old rock’n’roll. PB and the Easy Love’s shows typically end in a massive singalong, blurring the boundaries between performer and audience, and inviting all to express themselves.

Kendra McKinley at Crepe + Presale Tix Released!!

We're stoked to have one of our original DIO FEST buddies return to Santa Cruz to celebrate the first day of DIO FEST TICKET SALES at one of our favorite spots, the Crepe Place. Come dance and rage with this killer psych rock band and potentially win some DIO Fest 2017 tickets!

------------------------------------------------------------------Kendra McKinley perceives a song like a painter views a blank canvas: an opportunity to expand an audience’s mind, to wash their thoughts in brilliant hues of blue and violet, scarlet reds and effusive orange. Inspired by the past but not chained to it, McKinley’s music spans the diverse spectrum of pop music. She echoes the intricate vocal arrangements crafted by Brian Wilson, fractures the narrow definitions of a genre like St. Vincent, and recognizes storytelling as the key aspect of a great tune the way the best singer-songwriters have for generations.

Futurebirds, Sky Country & Kelly Koval at Kuumbwa Jazz to Benefit Sobranes Fire Relief

!CRITICAL ANNOUNCEMENT!

Due to the tragic wild fires in Big Sur we have moved the Futurebirds show from Henry Miller Library to the historic Kuumbwa Jazz Center in Santa Cruz, CA. We are adding the amazing Kelly Koval to the bill and will be rallying the DIO family to come out in support of the Sobranes Fire Relief Fund.

PROCEEEDS FROM THE SHOW WILL BENEFIT THE FIRE RELIEF FUND

Kuumbwa Jazz has been so kind as to open their doors to the DIO family on short notice to celebrate the music of Futurebirds, Sky Country and Kelly Koval as we send our prayers to those effected by the fires.

So come out next Saturday night, find something beautiful in it all and raise a few dollars for our friends and family to the south.

It's probable we'll have the likes of Lucas Elmer, Emily Meehan and other DIO family artists there doing rad stuff and making the night even more special. Let's blow this thing up. Your support means the world. On such short notice this show will really go off if we spread the word to all the homies in true DIO fashion. And the music is going to be seriously crushing. Tell yer friends. Grab tickets here...

DIO Presents... Scary Little Friends & Sky Country at the Crepe

Come hang out with us at our next show at our favorite neighborhood joint. It’s going to be a fun night full of good music and we’re going to give away two more tickets to DIO Fest!

Scary Little Friends is the rock brainchild of Chris Jones with Charlie Knote on drums and Jon Payne on bass. Chris build his own studio in the Mission district to record their debut album, "From the Beginning", which features lilting vocals and surfs-up psychedelic guitar; a trademark of the "San Francisco Sound". Based in San Francisco with underlying southern soul roots, strong songwriting is really the bread and butter of this band.

Sky Country offers up warm, hazy sun-soaked Rock n Roll inspired by the coasts and deserts of the western frontier - a genuine California sound born and bred from the lineages of renegade surf culture and ramblers of the lost nowhere lands to the east. The songs amble down the bleached highways and byways of windswept americana where guitars can still sound like bones, drums still barrel down the tracks and poets still wink and grumble at the human heart.

Kelly McFarling, Sparrow's Gate and Kendra McKinley at Henry Miller Library

This was our second outdoor show at Henry Miller Library and it was seriously a blast. Differing from our first show at the HML with the Mattson 2 (which was more summery and surfy), this show was a good ol' fashioned redwood surrounded night of pure folk and rocking roll. Some serious magic. And some serious characters.

Mattson 2 & Sky Country at Henry Miller Library

On August 28, 2015 during a heat wave on the Central Coast so many wonderful people came together for an unforgettable evening at The Henry Miller Memorial Library - it was UNREAL! The Mattson 2 and Sky Country brought down the house! We sure were lucky ducks to have Thomas Campbell there too, showing some of his unreleased Morocco surf footage while the Mattsons improvised over it. Oh, and yup, you guessed it, Kelly Koval snapped up some seriously sweet portraits - check 'em out here!
