arrival & parking

// PLEASE FOLLOW THESE 4-STEPS TO ARRIVE & PARK FOR DIO FEST //

1. CARPOOL TO HWY 9 & HWY 236 IN BOULDER CREEK

Carpool on HWY 9 to Boulder Creek. Turn onto HWY 236 at Johnnie's Market and you'll immediately see signs for DIO Fest.

2. FOLLOW SIGNS TO OFF SITE PARKING & SHUTTLE

You'll then be directed to one of our off-site parking/shuttle locations...

  • LOT A - We'll fill this parking lot first on Friday. It's located at 100 Ridge Dr., just 1.3 miles up HWY 236 from HWY 9.
  • LOT B - We'll start parking cars here once Lot A fills up. We'll also use it as the shuttle rendezvous for Saturday. It's on the block behind Johnnie's market where you see the orange star on the map.
  • OVERFLOW LOT - We'll park cars in the overflow lot once Lot A and Lot B are full. The shuttle will not stop at the overflow lot - you must walk .2 miles to Lot B in order to get picked up by the shuttle.
  • STREET PARKING - You can also park on the street and walk to the shuttle pickup zone at Lot B. Either way, follow the signs and staff directions. Smiles, patience and respect for our neighbors in Boulder Creek will make our arrival and parking situation as easy and fun as possible.

3 . WAIT FOR THE NEXT SHUTTLE AND START GETTING STOKED

After you've parked and unloaded your gear, you'll wait for the next shuttle to take you to the main festival grounds. ONSITE PARKING PASS HOLDERS must also wait here in order to follow the next shuttle up to the fest grounds.

4. CHECK IN AT WILL-CALL W/ VALID ID

After you've gotten off the shuttle, check in at Will Call (a.k.a. Front Desk). You'll then be assisted by DIO Fest volunteers to find your camping spot and settle in!

// ALL ATTENDEES MUST REPORT TO AN OFF SITE LOT BEFORE PROCEEDING TO THE FESTIVAL GROUNDS. TURN ONTO HWY 236 AND IMMEDIATELY LOOK FOR SIGNS TELLING YOU WHICH LOT TO REPORT TO. PLEASE PARK RESPECTFULLY, DON'T BLOCK DRIVEWAYS OR MAILBOXES. THANKS //

respecting boulder creek

To respect our Boulder Creek neighbors and community, it our responsibility to have as little of an impact on surrounding roads and neighborhoods as possible. So please, be patient and follow the lead of DIO Fest parking staff. Always follow the shuttle. When we all get to the top there’ll be high-fives and jams all around. PLEASE DO NOT WALK ON HWY 236 OR NARROW FESTIVAL DRIVEWAY.

getting to boulder creek

From Santa Cruz:
Take Graham Hill Rd. to Felton.
Make a right turn onto HWY 9.
Follow HWY 9 into the town of Boulder Creek.
Make a left on HWY 236 (at Johnny’s Super Market).
Immediately look for signs and staff directing you to the currently-open off-site parking lot.

From SF/Bay Area:
Take either I-280 South from San Francisco or I-880 South (which become HWY 17) from the East Bay…
Continue on Highway 17, toward Santa Cruz, into the Santa Cruz Mountains. The road is good here but be aware that there is often heavy traffic.
Look for the Mt. Hermon/Glen Canyon Road Exit and take it.
Go right on Mt. Hermon Road into the town of Scott’s Valley. Follow Mt. Hermon until you reach a T-intersection at Graham Hill Road. Turn right.
Turn right again two blocks down at the next signal onto Highway 9 and follow it for six miles into the town of Boulder Creek.
Make a left on HWY 236 (at Johnny’s Super Market).
Immediately look for signs and staff directing you to the currently-open off-site parking lot.

From The South:
The fastest way to come from the South is actually to go to Santa Cruz first, and then follow the directions listed above from Santa Cruz to DIO Fest.
Take HWY 101 North from anywhere south of Monterey (San Diego, LA, Santa Barbara, SLO, etc)
Take the Exit for HWY 129 West towards Watsonville
Follow HWY 129 West until you reach HWY 1
Follow HWY 1 North to Santa Cruz
